Obituary of Lauza Marie Hachey
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lauza Marie (Brideau) Hachey wife of the late Joseph Donat Hachey, of Saint John which occurred on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Saint John Regional Hospital.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was born in Tracadie, NB, she was a daughter of the late Phelas and Constance (Breau) Brideau. She was a member of the Cathedral and was employed as a Pastry Chef with the Union Club and the Admiral Beatty, enjoyed knitting and cooking.
She is survived by three sons: Peter Hachey and Mark Hachey both of Saint John, Paul Hachey of Dawson Creek; two daughters: Barbara Ann Shepherd of Barnsville, Rosaline Hachey of Sweden; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons: Arcade and Donald; one daughter, Alamondine; many brothers and sisters.
To honour her request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424). For those who wish remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com.
