Obituary of Joan Frances Smith

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Frances (Wilson) Smith announces her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Loch Lomand Villa. Born April 16, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Margaret (Frost) Wilson. Joan is survived by her children Brian Smith (Beth) and Joanne Curbishley (Robert); sister Norma McKinney; grandchildren Bradley Smith, Amanda and Michelle Curbishley, and step-grandchildren Jason, Michelle, and Jamie Comeau; sister-in-law Linda Wilson; brother-in-law and family friend Hazen Sherwood, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cat, Zeddy. Aside from her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband Hazen Smith; son David Smith; brother Gary Wilson; daughter-in-law Beth Comeau; and brother-in-law Stewart McKinney. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral Service will take place on Monday, December 23, 2019 from the Brenan’s Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at cedar hill cemetery.
