As long as I have known Rothesay, I have known Rory and Olga. My Mother always spoke of Olga in such high regard. I had the pleasure of getting to know McGregor, Andy, ad Michael, while sailing at RYC, My son William had the pleasure of doing the Saint John to Digby race with Jamie aboard Gannet not so many years ago, My son Matthew played hockey with Hazen and Jamie at RNS, and was in Rachel's class, and my daughter Sarah has been friends with Rachel as of late. And as recently as three weeks ago I was happy to speak with Olga after service at Saint Paul's... So through three generations, the Grant's, and Olga as the matriarch, have been interwoven in our lives. I am out of country and can't attend the service, but I have been thinking of all of you since I heard of Olga's passing. She was one heck of a person, Prayers from all the Trivett's

And send our very sincere condolences to you and all of your families.

May the blessing of light be on you - light without and light within. May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire, so that stranger and friend may come and warm himself at it. And may light shine out of the two eyes of you, like a candle set in the window of a house, bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm. And may the blessing of the rain be on you, may it beat upon your Spirit and wash it fair and clean, and leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven shines, and sometimes a star. And may the blessing of the earth be on you, soft under your feet as you pass along the roads, soft under you as you lie out on it, tired at the end of day; and may it rest easy over you when, at last, you lie out under it. May it rest so lightly over you that your soul may be out from under it quickly; up and off and on its way to God. And now may the Lord bless you, and bless you kindly. Amen.

Dear Rory and all the lovely Grant family,
Jim and I were so very saddened to hear that Olga passed away, and so unexpectedly. We will miss her very much. but won't lose the memory of her wonderful smile, down-to-earth personality, great sense of humour, love for her family, and affection for New River Beach. Olga truly let her light shine at St. Paul's Church, where we still visualize her singing in the choir, greeting us during the coffee hour, and of course participating in ACW meetings, where she could be counted on to help with various projects and missions. We will not forget the kindness Olga extended to Mary's parents, especially in their old age, when they were neighbours on Gondola Point Road. They thought the world of Olga. Her life was a gift to this community and beyond, and her death is a great loss to us all.
We extend our most heartfelt condolences to Rory and the entire Grant family.
