Obituary of George Edward Fleming
It is with great sadness that the family of George Edward Fleming, loving husband to Linda (Jollymore) Fleming, announces his passing which occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 25, 1946 in Saint John, he was a son to the late Stephen and Clara (Nichols) Fleming.
George was employed with the Department of Transportation for 32 years and was a member of Union 1190. He was an associate member of the Legion Branch 62 since 1976.
George will be missed dearly by his wife of 55 years, Linda, their children: Angela (Stephen) Pinner of Aylesford, NS, George E. Jr (Lisa) Fleming of Kingston, NB, Andrea (Brian) Stein of Saint John, NB and Shannon (Bob) Mortimer of Rothesay, NB, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, his brother James (Elaine) Fleming and sisters Joan (the late Raymond) Johnston, and the late Beverley (William) Haslett and 4 nephews.
George’s family wish to express their many “Thanks” to the staff of the CCU for the great care they received.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with George’s wishes, there will be no services.
