Obituary of Karen FitzGerald
It is with great sadness the family of Karen A. FitzGerald announces her unexpected passing in her home on May 24th, 2020. Born in Chatham, NB to the late George & Bernice Stewart.
Karen took great pride in her career as a letter carrier for the post office. She was always a hard worker & very self-sufficient. She loved to spend her summers at her trailer in Bangor where she spent her days yardsaling with her best friend, Gloria Cushing.
Survived by her loving husband, Robert, of 55 years; son, Kevin (Cheyanne); her cherished grandchildren, Melissa Giberson (Nicholas McQuade), Justin & Nick; great-grandson, Landon & another on the way; brothers, Donnie (Patsy), Ricky, Mark & sisters, Edna & Jeannie (Bill). Karen is predeceased by her beautiful daughter, Michele (Doug); brothers, Wayne (Beatrice), Daryl (Linda) & Gary (Peggy). She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
To respect Karen's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Remembrances in memory of Karen can be made to Bobby's Hospice or charity of donor's choice. WWW.BrenansFH.com.
