Obituary of Marlene Curtis
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marlene Rosalie Curtis, announces her passing at the age of 85, which occurred on Friday, May 22, 2020, at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. She was born in Saint John, NB on November 7, 1934 to the late Harry Robson Toole and Lillian (Mason) Toole.
Like her father before her, Marlene had a long career with Canada Post. She loved her family and friends fiercely and always put them first. Some of her hobbies included knitting, gardening & shopping. One of her favourite past times was picking seashells & seaglass from Mispec Beach & the beaches of Florida. A true Maritimer, Marlene loved her scallops and lobster. Fashionable until the end, her sense of style was always on trend.
Marlene is survived by her daughters Linda Curtis and Bonnie Bender (Jeff); brother Michael Toole (Barb); sister Doris Toole (Jean); grandchildren Michael, Christina, Elizabeth, Kristina, Anthony & Jackie; great-grandchildren Kiya, London, Bryson, Olivia, and Gage.
A celebration of life will be held at Marlene’s home on the East Side on Saturday, June 6th Drop in between 1:00 – 4:00 pm to pay your respects and share your memories of Marlene. All Covid-19 restrictions and regulations will be followed. Everyone will be subject to mandatory Covid-19 screening prior to entering
