To All My Cousins,I am going to miss your dear mother dearly.It seemed like she was always there helping no matter what the occasion.I especially remember with great fondness the days at Dominion Park beach swimming in the afternoon and then the BBQ and later roasting marshmallows in the fire.Usually a sing along ended the day and then going home falling asleep in the car. Some of my favourite memories.Im so sorry I couldn't go to the funeral. I am so very sorry for your loss! I want to send my sincere condolences on Ernestine's passing. How well I remember Ernestine, her beautiful smile, always cheerful attitude and the beautiful sewing she did. I still have the Baptismal gown my mother, Roberta Butler, had Ernestine make for my oldest daughter's baptism, 33 years ago. Love and prayers to all at this difficult time.

She moved to Shannex/Parkland a few months ago and with her winning smile, she quickly made friends in Millidge House. We were waiting for her return from hospital but she went to heaven instead. Such a wonderful woman - a true joy to all who knew her. I always loved to see her at various gatherings because she was so optimistic and energetic. To know Ernestine was to love her. Her smile was the first thing that drew you in. Ernestine had so much zest for life that it was infectious. Whether it was in her kitchen showing me how to make egg rolls or up high on a hill picking blueberries, Ernestine was in it 100%. Ernestine was a people person and was very sharp, she could pick up the conversation no matter how much time had passed. Talented beyond words, making quilts, sewing, cooking and always creative. To Ernestine's Family: What beautiful memories I have of Ernestine when I was Pastor at St. Pius those 12 years. Of course, how can I forget the "gang" in the quilting room, the laughter and wonderful friendships that developed over those years. She was one of the last of the group who enjoyed every moment of good food and fun and I will always treasure the quilted "Nativity" that Ernestine gave me one Christmas. When I read of your mom's passing my heart broke. I have so many wonderful memories of joy and laughter with your mom and your whole family starting in 1964 and we moved into the neighborhood. She was always filled with fun and I will never forget hearing her statement "Jesus, Mary and Joseph", boy she meant business when this came out.
