Obituary of Dick Hollies
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Henry Hollies announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his loving wife, Annise by his side. Born on April 20, 1936 in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Henry and Gloria (Loggie) Hollies.
Dick retired from the NB government working in the Economic Development Department. He enjoyed woodworking, politics and his computer. Above all else, however, he loved being with the love of his life, Annise, going on day trips and spending time together. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Annise; son, Scott Hollies of King City, ON; daughter, Cynthia Eigelshovan (Ted) of King City, ON; sister, Patricia Allan (the late John) of Cambridge Narrows; grandchildren, Hillary Eigelshovan of Toronto, ON and Jillian Eigelshovan-Mussard of Bradford, ON; great-granddaughter, Wren Mussard of Bradford, ON; his furry companion, Belle; as well as his extended family.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A private graveside service will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Richard’s name can be made to Rothesay Netherwood School or the Hampton Food Bank. www.BrenansFH.com.
