I had only known Elizabeth a short time but was impressed with her ability to make me feel we had a history . She was straight forward, honest and compassionate without compromising her ethics. I witnessed her sense of humour, pride in her choice of career, and commitment to her clients.
Elizabeth was definetely a variety of honourable traits and I am so glad that we had a chance to interact ,ever so briefly.

I met Beth in law school in September of 1973. She was warm, friendly and generous. She was a self-starter who became a leader in the family law bar. I last saw her at our class reunion, which our classmate, Graham Watton, hosted at the Humber Valley Resort in Corner Brook. It was a pleasure to see Beth again and to participate in many activities with her.

Thursday, November 5, 2020
Dear Ann and Karyl,
Graydon and I were saddened to learn of Beth's passing. I was present at the ceremony when she received her well deserved QC, and was so proud to have known her while growing up in Saint John. We both valued her legal advice as did my late brother, Rick Hatchette. She was always so caring and professional at the same time. In later years, Beth served us well as President of the Board at Brentwood.
Beth was a woman of faith and we believe that she has joined your parents in eternal rest. We regret that we are unable to attend the Funeral Mass but will watch it online.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Our heartfelt condolences,
Beth and Graydon Nicholas

Ann and Karyl I am so sorry for your loss. Beth was a frequent participant in family events while I was growing up. She shared her wisdom in both a personal and professional capacity whenever we were in need of assistance. Although I did not see her often, I followed her ups and downs through regular reports from my sister. Beth was much loved and will be missed by many.

Ann and Karyl.
I cannot tell you how upset I am to learn that Beth has passed. I did not know she was ill.
We had such a lovely time in Newfoundland at the class reunion and it was wonderful to have had those laughs together.
Beth was such a caring, wonderful person with a large smile.
I admired her dedication to her clients and to the practice of law.
She was so fortunate to have had a supportive family.
I am so sorry we have lost her.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
We have not been going anywhere since March, other than for walks or to necessary appointments so I will not be attending the service, but, I will be thinking of you and your family.
