Jenny certainly was one of a kind. She really did enjoy fishing, picking berries and handcrafts. I think at least 3/4 of our most cherished Christmas tree decorations are made by Jenny. I remember Dad making pickled herrings with her and loving them. She introduced me to chanterelle mushrooms in Miscou, and that is a memory and a tradition I will cherish. Mom loved joining Jennie on her search for bake apples on Miscou Plains. It was always an adventure and a great time to listen to Jennie’s colourful stories. Jenny truly wove herself right into our family, and will always be remembered fondly.
The first photo is probably from 1969. Jennie is sitting beside my grandmother, Jennie McLean, with my four sisters, Louise, Evelyn, Janet and Jennifer, and my cousin, Sue Bates Lapointe. The second photo is of my mother, Ida McLean Morris and Jennie, taken on our last visit in 2017. Sadly, my mother also passed away this year.
With fond memories for a wonderful woman,
Patricia Morris

We were saddened to hear of Jenny’s passing. She always had lots of stories to tell & was very proud of her Danish roots. She enjoyed my piano playing very much at Turnbull. She took care of some beautiful plants there. A very wise, inspiring strong woman. Love & Prayers from Nancy & Betty Morrison ( across the hall ) ✝️♥️
