Obituary of Annie Clara MacLellan
With great sadness, the family of Annie MacLellan, wife of the late Hayward A. MacLellan, announce her passing on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her home in Tucker Hall, Shannex Saint John. Born February 8, 1924 in Holtville, NB, she was a daughter of the late James MacKinnon and Ella Mae (Munn) Carson.
Annie worked for Point Lepreau Generating Station prior to her time at Coastal Enterprise. She loved her pony, Judy, and her horse, Mike, and she and Hayward spent their summers attending horse shows with their children. A visit to Annie’s was not complete without her pickles and homemade bread, and some even had the joy of receiving something handmade- a quilt, knitting, or sewing projects. She delighted in helping and spending time with her family.
Annie will be missed by her children: Jimmy (Debbie), Flossie O’Donnell, and Neil (Sandra); brother, Thomas; grandchildren: Kim (Cory), Mandi, Stacie (Craig), Laura, Sandra (Marianne), Jeff, Jarrod, and Ross (Jolene); and great-grandchildren: Rachelle, Jordan, Ara, Trae, Jarrod, Kyah, Addison, and Megan. Besides her husband and parents, Annie was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Annie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a private funeral service will be held. Interment will take place in Maces Bay Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances to Maces Bay Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences at www.BrenansFH.com.
