Obituary of Christina Beatrice Mahoney
It is with broken hearts that the family of Christina Beatrice Mahoney announces her passing on December 15, 2020 at Loch Lomond Village-Willow House. Born in Saint John on October 20, 1936, she was a daughter of the late William McKelvie and Beatrice (Nelson) Trenholme.
A hairdresser by trade, Christina believed in living life to the fullest. Christina loved singing, dancing, gardening, reading, music and whistling! Above all, she enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, her granddaughter, Terra.
Christina will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Stephen Joyce (Kristine) and Terry Joyce; sisters, Mamie (Ernie) and Betty (the late Gordon); granddaughter, Terra Joyce (Sean); great-granddaughters, Hannah and Courtney; brother-in-law, Jim; sisters-in-law, Shirley, Wilma, Jane and Marie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Christina was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; as well as siblings, Billy, Ron, Barb (the late Ralph), Doug, Bobby and Donnie.
Christina’s family would like to thank the staff of Loch Lomond Village, and Willow House in particular, for all the care and compassion shown to Christina during her time there. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John NB (634-7424). Due to the ongoing pandemic, a Celebration of Christina’s life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in Christina’s name can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice. wwwBrenansFH.com.
