It is with great sadness the family of Lisa Dawn Best-Manuel, wife of Vincent Manuel, announces her passing on December 24th, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by family. Born in Saint John on August 24th, 1971 she was the daughter of Marie (Brideau) Best and the late Harry Wayne Best.
Lisa grew up in Saint John and graduated from Millidgeville North High School. She had worked for EVS Services at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She loved spending her time with family, most of all her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, sitting at the campfire, playing her online games, card games with family, cross-stitching and crocheting. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, her house was always decorated above and beyond.
Besides her mother Lisa is survived by one son: Vincent Best-Manuel of Saint John; four daughters: Jennifer Roche (John), Nikki Manuel, Samantha Best-Meunier, and Natasha Best-Manuel, all of Saint John; one brother: Wayne Best (Joline) and one sister: Sharon Best both of Saint John; five grandchildren: Makayla Brewster, Serenity Best-Meunier, Devyn Brewster, Andi Loeman, and Aurora Best-Manuel; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lisa was predeceased by her father Wayne Best; sister Tracy Best and both maternal grandparents Cedrick and Emily Brideau; and paternal grandparents Harold and Marion Best.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 12 -2 pm. A funeral liturgy will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Guests are asked to enter through the courtyard doors where staff will greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. Due to ongoing health restrictions the liturgy will be by invitation only. Remembrances to Canadian Diabetes New Brunswick Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Kidney Foundation, Atlantic Branch would be appreciated by the family.
