Always with a wonderful smile and a welcoming manner, he will be missed by so many. Sheila and family, please accept my sincere condolences, personally, and also on behalf of the PALS program. We all knew Norm as a very special, dedicated person--especially to all kids. The students at Key Leader showed their affection for Norm every time we gathered together. His fund-raising efforts made many of their weekends possible--but they loved him for much more than the scholarships he raised. He was the epitome of a caring adult who made a difference in the lives of hundreds of students. He will never be replaced, but we will always have his example to follow in our work with Kiwanis and Key Leader.

Very sorry to hear of Norman’s passing. My condolences to his family.
In 1975 Norm took me on, as a novice investor. He purchased my first stock, allowed me to be part of a commodity pool, transacted a few currency trades, and invited me to be part of his hockey pool too! In 1984 I moved to Halifax to further my own career in money management. Many thanks to Norm for taking an interest in a young guy with a passion for investing.

Norman was a great business partner and friend. He always took the high road and his community endeavours were a sign of his love for humanity through community works. I remember hugging the Stanley Cup with Norm and sitting beside one another when Saint John Flames scored the overtime winner for the Calder Cup. You’ve had a great life Norman. God Bless your soul and May God also strengthen your wife and family. Rest at Peace.

Norm was a quiet but powerful force to be reckoned with. I have only known him for a few years, but in that time I marveled at his powers of persuasion with regard to Kiwanis fund-raising. I once asked him if, when he walked down the street, people just threw money at him! His wit was keen, his compassion overflowing, and his presence always welcome. Mark and I will miss Norm greatly. Rest in peace, fellow New Year's Eve baby!

Words cannot even begin to describe what Norm has meant to us in Kiwanis and in our community. He has been (it is hard to write "had" a shining light to all of us, showing us what true dedication to service leadership really means. He put his heart and soul into service with his involvement in Kiwanis, starting with his joining the Kiwanis Club of Saint John, serving in various positions including becoming a Distinguished Lt. Governor Division 18, Fundy, to his sponsorship and total involvement with the Kiwanis Cash Calendar which helped to raise over $1 million to serve the children of our region. However, I think his most fulfilling and memorable involvement has always been with the youth of our community, and, particularly, with the implementation and carrying out of the Kiwanis Key Leader programs in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. The high school students at the Key Leader Camps adored him, and he adored them. He will be missed.
Sheila and Robyn, I grieve for your loss. Please accept my sincerest condolences and know that Norm will not be forgotten. His name will continue to pop up in all our conversations and in our memories.

It's hard to imagine a future without Norm. He was such a fervent supporter of all programs aimed at improving the lot of young people. I was amazed at his success in obtaining sponsorships for teens wishing to attend Key Leader camps. His promotion of the calendar fundraiser made him a legend. Thank you Norm for all you did and accomplished. Our sincere condolences to everyone feeling this loss.

I first met Norm in 1979 when we both worked for Richardson Securities..this began a near 35year working friendship culminating in our both retiring from RBC Dominion Securities. Norm and I never left but they just kept changing the name on the door. It was a great ride for us both and we shared many good times and memories. He was a wonderful influence around the office..always had another take on things...anyone remember “ Well the other side of the coin is”..and often a better thought. He will be missed by all the people he touched. Donna and I send our best to Sheila and all his family..we were surprised at the news but will always keep the good thoughts.
