Dear Vera, Caroline and Hughie:
We were so saddened to hear of the passing of your wonderful Mom. Life passes much too quickly but we remember and will cherish the conversations and laughs we shared on our all too infrequent visits when Del and Vera were still with us.
Our deepest condolences to all of you, may you be comforted knowing she lived a very full and loving life.
Much love Cousin Bob and Susan

I was ten when my big brother Johnny married Kathy. Mummy brought me to Ogilvy’s Department store in downtown Montreal to buy them a lamp. I looked upon the task very seriously and took my time, carefully surveying the entire stock. She was so kind and never interfered. After a great long time, I pointed to one and announced that it was the best one there and deserving of them both.
What’s interesting to me is that I’ve never ever seen a more beautiful lamp in my life. It was a good size and had a shade of slightly burnished silver with pinholes in it which gave the effect of stars shining through all around. I think back to that now about how Kathy took excellent care of that lamp and everything else of importance to her (and much was) and it brings to mind, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 KJV May Kathy and my brother John have fulfilling lives in Heaven...it’s my fervent prayer for them both. Thank you for being a wonderful addition to our family Kathy, I will miss you. Love from Mary (Turnbull Burnight) ~ and PS. Some say that “stars are openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down”

I remember growing up next door to Kathy and Joan. They were like our older sisters and we seemed to have a melded family! I remember Kathy coming to our home and my Mom making her costume for the winter carnival and thinking how very pretty she was. Kathy was smart, crafty, kind and witty and will be sorely missed. Ron and I send our sincere condolences!
Love,
Ron and Connie(Blake)Caissie

Growing up next door to Kathryn and her sister Joan was like having two extra siblings. My childhood memories are intertwined with their lives. I wouldn't do any particular memory justice as I have so many that I could share. They and their Mom, "Big Vera" were family to all of us. She was a very special person and I will miss her dearly.
My deepest condolences to Vera, Caroline and Hughie, May knowing that she is at peace with your Dad bring you comfort in the days ahead.
