As a former classmate and friend of Joan for many years as kids, I remember the time she saved me from drowning at her family's summer camp at Douglas Lake. I was so thankful then and for the many card games and laughs as teenagers. Our group consisted of Fran, Lenore, Theresa, Kay, Joan and myself. Thanks again Joan for all the fun times, I am forever grateful, may you rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Joan’s passing, I worked in the same building with Joan mid to late 80’s. I also had the pleasure of bowling with Joan in many leagues and tournaments , always a good time. Rest In Peace Joan.

I remember Joan and Clay at Bowl-More Lanes, that's where we first met many years ago. I was helping out at the canteen counter and they would always sit themselves down and ask me for Hamburger Platters, their suppers before gearing up for their bowling league competition those nights. I cooked many platters for them way back then, to which they always complemented and thanked me. As a bowler myself, and years later the Ladies' Bowling Provincials and special Trophy Matches were the draw and Joan was always partaking in the sport with her teammates that she loved. I'm thankful our paths in life crossed Joan and we as friends enjoyed these times we shared. Rest in Peace Joan with Clay. He's waited a long time for you, and now you are together in God's Garden Forever.

Oh Joan,
I remember back when I was just a kid and the nights that you, and Clay (who we lovingly called 'Bonehead'), Don & Jean, Trudy and her husband, and perhaps Unity as well, came to the house for card night with Mom & Dad. You guys laughed so hard, I never understood what was so funny.
I also have memories of you coming to the house to help decorate the Christmas tree. It was funny how the gifts tended to go vertically up the tree instead of surrounding it. Maybe the added 'Christmas Cheer" had something to do with it. :-)
Thank you Joan for being a part of our family, you will be sorely missed.
