Obituary of Doris Soucy
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Doris E. Soucy announces her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, NS on March 20, 1940, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Oickle) Abric.
Doris worked for 40 years as a packer at Crosby Molasses, where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed playing bingo with friends in her free time.
Doris will be missed by her brother, George Abric of BC; and her goddaughter and friend, Nicole Munn; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband James Joseph Soucy on October 1, 2020; four sisters: Ethel Kenny, Helen Marsh, Margaret Hubley and Carol Abric; and a brother Clyde Abric.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4-6 pm. Guests are asked to use the courtyard entrance, where staff will greet and assist you with COVID-19 protocol. We ask that those planning on attending visitation email their name and phone number to registration@BrenansFH.com to assist us in preparing for guests. A graveside service will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00 am.
