Obituary of Gary Walton

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gary J. Walton announces his unexpected passing, which occurred on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Oshawa, Ontario. Born in Saint John on March 16, 1959, he was a son of the late Douglas and Clara (Benoit) Walton.

Gary loved nature and identified with the tranquility of the great outdoors. He cared deeply about animals of every species, and was kind to them.

Gary will be missed by his children: Tracy Cook, Crystal Cook and Douglas (Sabrina) Dunphy; grandchildren; Nicole, Michelle, Cayley, Ally, Carson and Landon; and his siblings Ruth, Marlene, Cindy, Neil, Pat and Victor; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by a son Brandon; and siblings: David, Elaine, Bruce and Vernon.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A private funeral celebrating Gary’s life will be held in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:30 am.
