Obituary of Lorna Truan
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, Lorna Truan, wife of the late Walter Truan, on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at her residence, following a period of failing health. Born July 3, 1944 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Frances Lever.
Thoughtful and generous were two words to accurately describe our mother, who never forgot a birthday and remembered every person in her family at Christmastime. Family was her number one priority and she will be forever loved.
Lorna will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Stephen Jones (Carol LeBlanc) and Dwain Jones (Lori); grandchildren: Krista Guay (Duane), Cheyanne Gamblin, Zachary Jones (Genee Noel), Christopher Jones, Kathleen LeBlanc (Adam Sears), and Melissa LeBlanc; several great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Jolie (William); brother, Ronald Edison (Marie); sisters-in-law, Audrey Arsenault and Irma Fitzgerald; two nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her mother, Frances, and her husband, Walter.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Audrey, her various caregivers, and Dr. Sarah Caines for going above and beyond in their care and friendship provided to Lorna over the years. Your kindness will always be remembered.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Lorna’s wishes, a private graveside service will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
