Obituary of Mary Gorman
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of the one-of-a-kind Mary A. Gorman on April 14th, 2021 at Bobby’s Hospice. After a long battle with ill health, she is now at peace and reunited with her parents Hugh Sr and Dot (Hogan) Fitzpatrick, and her brother Hugh Fitzpatrick Jr. Mary was born on May 4th, 1945 in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Survived by her loving daughters Margie (Steve) and Kathy, and grandchildren Kyra and Kamryn. She will be missed by her extended family Emily (Nick), David, Duncan, Ryan and Tyler; special nephew Hughie III and special niece Mary (Paul), great niece Kaitlyn and several others.
Throughout her life many came to know her through her time helping the community working at her family’s funeral home. Mary was the 4th generation to continue on the family name of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
Mary’s magnetic personality, razor sharp wit, and heart of gold will be missed by the countless hearts she’s touched throughout her life. She was an active community volunteer, an amazing story-teller, and the queen of shopping, with a flare for fashion. Her grandchildren will truly miss the special one on one time they shared together. Most of all, Mary’s fiery personality will be remembered by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the dedicated restorative team at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the remarkable team at Bobby’s Hospice. The compassion and tender care was unbeatable.
