Obituary of Barbara Carolyn Parent
With deep sadness and gratitude for a lifetime of memories, the family of Barbara Parent announces her passing, which occurred on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Wickham on October 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Stella (Webster) Mott.
Barbara was a woman of faith and was a regular member of the former Main Street Baptist Church, and continued attending when the church relocated in 2013 and changed its name to RiverCross Church. She was a member of the Harambee W.M.S. Group, and also enjoyed knitting, quilting and shopping. More than anything, she loved to spend quality time with her family, who she loved with her whole heart.
Barbara will be missed by her children: Robert Parent, Deborah Parent, and Cathy “Kate” Justason (Robert); one grandson, Justin Justason (Natalie); and a newborn great-granddaughter Jaymie Justason; special sister-in-law Hilda Mott; and her fur grandbabies Holly and Ivy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Donald William Parent; and a brother, Robert Mott.
