Cyr family
We are so saddened to hear of your Mother's passing, although we are sure that she is happily in your Father's company. John did carpenter work for your parents and remembers them both as wonderful caring people, he enjoyed visiting with them as he worked. We always saw your Mom at Our Lady at the 8:15 Mass when we occasionally attended and she was always happy to see us. Eternal rest grant her soul. We have been and will continue to keep you in our prayers

To Marlene's Family:
Please know that I am holding each of you in prayer as your mourn the death of your dear Mother, Marlene. What a gentle spirit and beautiful person who used her gift of music to enhance many Liturgies over many years.
She will be remembered this weekend when the Prayers of the Faithful will be prayed at the Cathedral and I will offer a Mass for the repose of her soul.
May she rest in peace, as she is reunited with Romeo and those who have gone before her marked with the sign of faith.
Fr. Doug

Oh Mother! I am just now reading the obituaries for this past week. I had no idea Marlene was at Passamaquoddy Lodge. Living out the past year in seclusion for many of us has meant we are out of the social loop.
I really have so many fond memories of Marlene. She accompanied me at many weddings but also Gertrude and my Mom were friends which meant we got together at your home when your Grand-mémère moved to Greendale to be with your family. We also shared many St. Paddy's celebrations with the "Shamrock Singers" group. Your Dad was also "Irish" on those occasions when we'd meet to rehearse(?) at Florence McLaughlin's home. Hah!
I am soooo sad to read this obit. Marlene will continue to send maternal blessings to you and yours throughout your days. I will keep her close in prayers. She will be missed by many. Such a humble giving lady and talented musician!

With her quiet and gentle manner, Marlene enhanced many liturgies over the years, She was an exceptional musician and a delight to work with. She was a wonderful parishioner...every priest’s dreams of working with. He willingness to share her gifts were rooted in her strong faith and her music became her prayer. May she now receive the reward of her goodness. Prayerful condolences to her family.
