Cathy, Sari and Steven just heard from my sister about Bruce's passing. Mostly I remember bruce as Cathy's annoying little brother and then seeing him at his store on my summer visits home. From all accounts he was a special guy! Suzanne

Jennifer, Sari, Cathy and Steven, I just heard about Bruce's passing and I wanted to offer my deepest sympathies to your family. When I heard, I was heartbroken for all of you. He was wonderful. I remember many summer trips to the zoo in his little black jeep with Jennifer. He would always take us on the "rollercoaster" (Foster Thurston) to get there. Your Dad was such a kind man. He became a member of our extended family through my aunt Betty Collicott. We remember him being a great host as well, but his kindness and compassion are what really stand out in our memories. My father and I were touched when Bruce came to offer his condolences at the funeral home when my Mom (Betty's sister Pat Aiton) passed away in March of 2018. Even though it was a sad time for us, it was fantastic to see him again, and I'll admit I probably hugged him a little too hard :) Our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family. I have many memories of Bruce from the Colwell's days. He was so friendly, kind and helpful and he always made me laugh whenever I was there. I also remember "little" Jennifer often sitting on the counter at the store - so cute!! My sincere condolences to his family and especially his daughter, Jennifer, who I know he loved dearly. He will certainly be missed.

Your Dad was a great dancer, Jennifer. I went to jive lessons with him one winter. Everything was going great until he snapped my knuckles together for trying to lead. I quit!! Off the dance floor he was a great guy. My deepest condolences. Hugs.

I have fond memories of walking to Colwell's, having a smoke with Bruce on the front steps, and watching the world drive past. His jokes were pretty good, but mine were usually better! Miss you, buddy. Sincere condolences to all the family.

I always enjoyed Bruce’s company on each visit to Colwell’s - which was a lot! Tons of great conversations and laughs. I miss the days when the Steiners ran the store. Such a lovely family. Sorry to hear of his passing. Rest In Peace Bruce. Me and a couple of Renforth pals in front of Bruce’s famous Caddy.
