Dear Buckley Family,
Your Mother and Father were known to me since the late 60s. I was teaching at St Rose school and the kids started coming through. Their contributions began with Paul and Jane. The parents stayed well connected. Many times we met and reviewed our current status.
It is tremendous to have had known the family and Erb for such a time.
I regret not completing my final act of communion at Church.
I am healthy but cautious about public appearance especially with crowds. My best regards. Good wishes through hard times.

Dear Buckley Family,
Sorry to hear of the passing of your father. As have many attested, he was well known and highly respected within the Saint John community and beyond. I, of course, have known your father, and all of the Buckley family, for what seems like forever. The close connection between your family and mine goes back to all of our collective younger years growing up on Manawagonish Road where is seemed it was one big family amongst all the neighbors.
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to attend either the visitation or the funeral Mass as I am out of the City on Friday afternoon and the weekend.
Take care.

Dear Buckley family
Sorry to hear of the passing of your father who was a wonderful man. Back in the day as young folks growing up we did not have conversations with many adults beyond out immediate circle, but after moving back to the Saint John area in the 1990s I saw Mr. Buckley in the community and chatted with him many times. Hold on to the good memories-it sounds like you have many of them.

Dear Paul, Jane, Lynn, Brian, Michael and Christine,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. He was always such fun. One of my fondest memories of your dad is an occasion when Joanne Marquis and I arrived at your house on Manawagonish Road thinking it was obvious that we were there to call upon Lynn. Your dad invited us in to have a seat. We watched TV with your dad for awhile before Joanne ventured to ask if Lynn was actually home. Your dad replied that no, Lynn wasn’t home, he just enjoyed having someone to watch TV with. We laughed so hard and I have never forgotten it.
I hope you take great comfort in wonderful memories of your dad.

To the Buckley family, Paul, Jane, Lynn, Michael, Brian and Christine (and your families) - it saddens my heart to learn of Mr. B's passing. Not only was he my manager and my friend, but I and many friends spent Friday evenings playing rummy and sharing snacks (and likely some rum or Southern Comfort) with Mr and Mrs. B. Best memories are Erv dragging me to the golf course to play golf as payment for doing the secretarial work for the Rotary Club (I was not a golfer) and going to New Year's at his house with the Bank staff and sitting around the piano, singing and having a good time. I will miss his yearly updates at Christmas. My consolences to you on the loss of a good man, friend and mentor. All the best, always - Peggy (O'Blenis) Holmes.

My 99 year old Mom ( Marion McMackin Doherty) knows lots of Buckley stories and sends her love and prayers to all.

Very sorry to hear of Erv’s passing. Besides working with Mr Buckley in the CIBC Amherst branch for over a decade he was also a wonderful upstairs neighbor. He taught me how to really play the game of bridge. So many great memories from that era. Karen Rushton.

Paul, Jane, Lynn, Brian, Michael, Christine and family,
We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Such a good man. He was well known and respected in Lancaster by all who knew him. He financed our first car (Tom & Bob) little did we know that Dad was in the back ground signing as a co signer. We did not know till years later. They were both teaching us to be responsible. Such a kind and gentle giant!
He will be missed. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Tom & Nancy Creamer

For many years Erv was a true and valued friend. I also had the privilege of being related to him through marriage. My wife Debbie was his niece so I guess that made him my uncle-in-law. He was one of the most kindly, honest and sincere people I have ever known. Although we had not seen you regularly in the recent past, Erv, you were often in our thoughts. Thank you for the wisdom you shared with us through the years. It was always helpful. We will miss you. To Paul, Jane, Lynn, Brian, Michael, Christine and your families, our hearts are deeply saddened with your loss.

Uncle Ervie was always so welcoming to me. I especially remember when I was in Saint John at the hospital with my husband Terrry and he took me home with others in the family and made sure I had a nice supper. Then drove me back to the hospital. I was so grateful for his kindness.
Uncle Ervie you will definitely be missed. Please accept my sincere condolences, Paul, Jane , Brian, Lynn, Michael and Christine as well as to all of your families. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
