We were both so sorry to hear recently about Peter, who was a good friend for many years. Peter had a great heart and was always there to be supportive, encouraging, and to lend a good-humoured hand to many endeavours during our time in the Jaycees together. He will be sorely missed by his extended family, many friends, former colleagues, and not the least by Colleen, to whom we offer our most heart-felt condolences.
Sincerely,
Alex McKinnon and Lisa Blizzard

Mrs Arseneau,I am sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I remember him from selling papers at the Reversing Falls tourist bureau in the 60’s. He came to my house on Earl Ave to collect the money for the week from all the papers I sold.
I also use to see you at St. Peter’s attending Mass at 5 pm. He probably wouldn’t remember me as he had tons of paper boys to look after but he left an impression on me as a kind and patient man. My prayers and thoughts are for Peter and family.

Colleen - We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Peter's sudden passing. Both Judy and I spent time with him while involved with the Jaycee movement - he was always kind, supportive, encouraging and a joy to be around. He was my very first Regional Director - he inspired me to become more involved and when I did, I made a great deal of lifelong friends. I'm certain he will be missed by many of us who remember his engaging ways and generous smile. Our prayers and thoughts are being sent to you and his family during this time. With much love and respect - Daryl Green & Judy Gulliford-Green.

As a young high school student in the mid to late 70's , I had a wonderful part time job working for Peter and Gary Dean in the circulation dept., Starting out stuffing papers and then moved upstairs to recruit and train people for paper routes, and deliver missing papers, and deliver bundles all over the city and surrounding areas. Peter kept us busy after school, evenings and weekends, always making sure we had plenty to do. Peter was always very respectful of and fair with his crew of young guys. I always remembered and kept a fond thought of Peter. I am saddened to learn of his passing. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Colleen and family. I’m very sorry to hear of your loss. Peter was a great guy to be around and to work for. I first met Peter when I had my first paper route in 1968 at the age of 9 and then worked for him at the Evening Times Globe/Telegraph Journal while I was in High School. Peter then recruited me to join the Saint John Jaycees in the early 1980’s. Peter was one of my mentors who had a strong work ethic and displayed great customer service. I haven’t seen Peter much since I’ve been living away for the last 32 years but I ran into him at Tim’s in the North End a couple of years ago and it was like we never missed a beat. Peter will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Godspeed Peter.

I had fond memories of his chats to help me obtain new customers and help with my collections.
