I was sad to hear of Bob’s passing. I met Bob at the local store where I worked. He’d often come in for the paper and we’d chat. Bob always had a friendly wave when I’d drive by. I just miss knowing he’d be there. I considered him a good friend. He would never pass up the opportunity to tell me when my car needed washed and even set up a donation bucket (made by him) to help find a car wash for me! He certainly was quite a character! After his wife passed, our family would usually stop in and drop off a meal now and then. I’m late sending this in but please know every day as I pass Bob’s place that I think of him.

I'm very sorry to hear of Robert's ( Harry's ) passing on ... I met him in Grade three at the old Victoria School at Duke and Sydney ( around the corner from his place on Orange St . Where at that age ( or so ) we built model air planes ( powered by an elastic band wound up ) : and with Robert's own sense of humor , he would light them on fire and fly them out from his bedroom window . Years later there was playing hockey out on the " artificial lakes " in winter , and riding our motorcycles after school in fall and spring . Robert was very bright and could have easily contended with " higher learning " ......a most valued school mate . Blackford Parker ...

My condolence to Bob's family at this sad time. We go back to Sandy Point Road days when Bob and family summered at Sandy Point Beach. He would stop in at our house when he travelled to town on his motorcycle. Dad gave Bob his Driver's License when he was in charge of that department at the Kings Street East Police Station in 1958. We shared memories of our teachers at PES and Saint John High, funny and sad. Bob's aunt taught me in Gr. 8 at PES. Bob left us too soon and too suddenly. He was a true romantic, signing our emails with hugs and kisses. He hoped we didn't mind! We of the 1958 SJ High Graduation Class will miss him and will not forget him.
Sincerely
Barbara Pearson

Andy and Mike, we are so sorry to hear of your dad's passing, we still live next door to your mom and dad's house on the Gondola Point Road(which we still call Bob and Betty's house) Your dad was a wonderful quite man, and could fix anything for anyone, he sure had some fancy paint jobs on his trucks. The boys loved visiting with your dad and playing with Penny out in the door yard. Hold onto all your great memories, we sure do talk and keep all our memories of your mom and dad alive.
Take care,
Terry and Susan Sleep.
