To Brian's family and friends. Brian earned his well deserved reputation as a respected leader in the Saint John construction industry. I was new to Saint John and the industry when we met on the job sites. Looking back at this formative time, it was so impressive how Brian made time and effort to share what he had learned with those around him with genuine modesty and good humour. Please know that at this sad time, his positive influence continues to be appreciated.

Christy, Mike, and family, Brian served as a mentor to me in business spending many hours illustrating the importance of practicality and fairness. The business relationship quickly evolved into a friendship. I truly enjoyed our fishing trips each year at Stoney Run. He always made time to share a laugh. He will be certainly missed.

Sincere condolences to Brians's family. I am truly sorry for your loss. Your father was such a kind, generous and fun-loving man. I will always remember him for his wild sense of humor, great laugh, and never-ending appetite to tease. Many years of Saturday morning breakfasts at the Portland Pub with Jimmy and Sandy were spent together and they are my absolute favorite memories of that time. He will always be missed.

It was with a very saddened heart that I learned of Brian’s passing. That's a wonderful picture of him. He's gone far too young.
In April 1981, Brian, my Dad, Graydon, and Claude Germain (Montreal) incorporated Que-Mar Construction (Maritimes) Ltd together while I was still living in Montreal. I remember coming down to Saint John for one of my regular visits and meeting Brian, who was only five years older than me (29 at the time) and thinking, “Wow, Dad’s in business with a hunk!” LOL Brian was a dashing, young, hard-working Engineer and full of ambition. They all worked very hard at Que-Mar, making a name for themselves and the quality of their jobs. My Mom, Margaret, ran the office and kept them all in line! I remember Starr also working in the office. Claude predeceased Brian some years ago, and Dad has had Alzheimer’s himself for several years now. The company was dissolved in 2004.
The last time I saw Brian was with Dad when we visited him in Shannex in 2018. It was a touching visit that I will never forget. Even though neither old friend could speak to each other, they clearly had a strong bond. My deepest condolences to the entire family. May Brian now rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to Mike, Christy and all your families. I met Brian when he was just out of UNB working as an Inspector with Godfrey Associates on the CO-OP housing project off Sand Cove Road where Hervey Boyd was the Superintendent for Galbraiths and Jim Dineen was the Foreman on the job.
We hit it off right away and Brian, Jimmy and I had a lot of fun while working together on many jobs over the years. Many meals at Leo's, trips to Toronto, Road Builders meetings and Saturdays at The Portland Pub.
The three of us seldom missed going for breakfast on Saturdays even when Brian moved to Shannex.
Brian was a tremendous supporter of numerous Charities and helped many people get back on their feet when they were down.
He will certainly be missed by his many friends.
