Obituary of Denise Thibodeau

It is with broken hearts that the family of Denise Thibodeau announces her passing at home on November 5, 2021. Born in Saint John on May 13, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Uldric and Claire (Comeau) Thibodeau.

In Denise’s earlier years, while raising her children she was a long-time member of the Crescent Valley Tenant’s Association and a member of the community garden. Over the years Denise loved to play bingo, go line-dancing, do puzzles, and most recently found love in travelling South (especially to Cuba). You could often find her at Tim Horton’s in the morning with the coffee crew, afternoon naps on her couch, and Penny’s deck in the evenings. Denise’s favorite time of year was Christmas, she loved everything about it especially going Black Friday shopping for many years. Denise was employed with Service New Brunswick (Fundy Linen) for 18 years where she happily retired in 2020.

Denise is survived by her sons: Tim (Lindsay) McGraw, Anthony (Lori) Thibodeau, Nicholas Thibodeau, and Norman Thibodeau; daughter: Beverly Thibodeau; brothers: Wayne, Raymond (Wanda), Joe (Leanna), and Paul; sisters: Linda, and Anne; grandchildren: Marissa, Anaiya, Jace, Jordan, Madison, Kuma, Anthony, Rebecca, Rachelle, and Delaney; great-grandchildren: Rubee, and Phoenix; fur-baby Graycie girl, several nieces and nephews; as well as special friend: Penny Mclean, the father of her children Norman Dorbyson and a bonus daughter Kelly Miller. Besides her parents, Denise was predeceased by her sister Jeanette, her brother Melvin and niece Jackie-Lynn.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 2 PM – 4 PM and 6 PM – 8 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 12:00 Noon in the Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the service or visitation will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of a government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption.
