Hi Sunshine! It's the first thing that comes to my mind any time I think about Uncle Ronnie. I have so many great memories of him. Getting to share a room with him one night while trying to sleep with him calling me sunshine over and over. Rubbing your head and it giving you so much joy. Always changing the channel back to the one you wanted! Chasing after me when I took your Rubik's cube. And the hugs. You gave the absolute best hugs. God Bless Nanny Breen for taking such good care of you and letting you it some of the craziest food combinations ever! But you loved it. Rest in peace Sunshine.

Saddened at the loss of uncle Ronny. Knowing that he is with his best friend and brother Walter makes me happy that they are together with Nanny , Grampy and all his siblings that have gone before him, including my mother who adored Ronny and Walter. Together in a better place.

Sorry to learn that both brothers passed away. I remember Mr Breen walking through Rockwood Court with Ronnie almost every day. They would stop to talk and a share candy with the smaller children. It made every ones day.
I am sure there will be a wonderful reunion in heaven.

On the Saturdays that Grampy would take Uncle Ronnie for his drive, Mom would have his peanut butter and sliced cheese sandwich ready for him, then Dad would call out “sunshine, sunshine” and we would laugh, and Ronnie would give us a hug.
Nanny will be dancing tonight!!

One of my early childhood memories was when we were up stairs at number 4 Chubb St. There were seven children sharing 2 rooms. In my room Rose and Judy shared a bed and Johnny,Patty and I shared another bed. Of course Ronnie and Walter had a room all to them selves, and they continued to share a room until the rest of us left to raise our own families.Ronnie had had a fascination with gas caps .. and light switches, mostly other peoples. The people in the Rockland Rd area at first feared Him and eventually learned to relish his unexpected visits as he played with their light switches. They were great people! I have so many cherished memories of my brother and I hope to share some of them with you on Sunday. My one regret is that I did’t get to say goodbye to Ronnie and get to give him one last head rub. It is so fitting and I give thanks to God that Walter and Ronnie got to go home together. Love you forever brother.

I know a sweet mother whose heart is full today. Mary worried about Ronnie all of her days. She loved him completely. How happy I am for her today.
On our first drive with Gary and Ronnie we stopped for an ice cream. Ronnie was in the back and I am pretty sure he inhaled his as it was gone in less then a minute. He began to tap my shoulder repeatedly and I looked at Gary who said you best give him your ice cream. Which I willingly did. The rest of the drive was peaceful.
Enjoy your new life Ronnie. Till we meet again. Love Michele

Home improvement shows, shiny cigarette papers, strawberry milk and cheesies...these are a few of his favourite things. So thankful that I got to visit Uncle Ronnie at Turnbull House and sing, "You are my sunshine." He was always sunshine to my mom. Rest easy!

When visiting nanny Breen as a kid I remember being afraid of uncle Ronnie because of his size, but as I got older I realized what a sweet soul he was. Nanny Breen devoted her life to his care and is no doubt overjoyed at being reunited with him. I’m looking forward to honouring his memory this week.
