Obituary of Marion Richards
We wish to announce the passing of Marion Ethel (Johnson) Richards of Central Greenwich, NB. Born December 23, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Jessie (Bogle) Johnson.
Marion was a devoted wife and mother. Her sole purpose in life was to look after her family. You could never visit without having a meal or at least a piece of homemade bread. She also loved quilting and knitting. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marion was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church and a lifetime member of the Women’s Institute and the ACW.
Marion is survived by her sons, Thomas Richards (Brenda) and Donald Richards (Phyllis); grandchildren: Brian Richards (Erin), Robyn Richards (Mike), Tina Poirier (Phil), Jesse Richards, Tamara McAdam (Shane), Cortney Richards, and Brittney Richards; great-granddaughters: Olivia Richards, Chloe Richards, Addison Richards, Brielle Poirier, Isabella Lowther, Olivia Lowther, her special girl Alexis; and niece, Brenda Cormier.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Russell; her brother, Ralph Flewelling; and her granddaughter, Ashley Richards.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 2 pm from St. Paul’s Anglican Church Oak Point. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of a government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption. For those who wish, remembrances to the Shriners or St. Paul's Church- Oak Point would be appreciated by the family.
