Obituary of Margaret Rose Rodgers
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Rose “Rosie” (Burchill) Rodgers, wife of the late Gordon Rodgers, announces her passing on November 23, 2021. Born in Saint John on July 22, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (MacDonald) Burchill.
Margaret is survived by her children: Janice (Robert) Mortimer, Anita (Brenton) Seymour, Pauline Rodgers, and Robert (Karie) Rodgers; grandchildren: Sarah Rodgers, Cody Seymour (Sonya), Levon Seymour, Alyssa Seymour (Bruce), Colby Rodgers (Chelsea) and Emily Rose Rodgers; great-grandchild: Neiko; brother: Daniel (Carol) Burchill; sisters-in-law: Jeanine Burchill, Audrey Burchill, and Helen Dalling (the late Gordon); brother in law: Norman Craft; as well as several nieces and nephews, and beloved pets Mama Kitty and Sheba. Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by infant daughter Tracey-Lynn, her brothers David and Douglas Burchill, sister Patricia Craft, brother-in-law Russell (the late Betty) Rodgers.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Fellows, Dr. Bewick, Dr. Mowatt, Dr. Kolyvas, Dr. Doiron, the nurses of 4BS and especially ER nurse Sara for your kindness and compassion that you showed Margaret during her stay.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 12 PM - 2 PM with the funeral to follow in the Brenan’s Chapel at 2 PM. Interment will take place at St. Barnabas Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the service or visitation will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of a government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption.
