Our condolences to the family.
Memories flood back as I remember Edith always being there in our community.
In early days, I started grade one with Vickie and Keith, Dickie and Clifford were schoolyard friends. Mona Lee was a couple of years older and Marjorie and Lois were "the little kids".
The first traumatic event that I can remember was Billy's tragedy.
Over the years, I sang in Choir with Peter and Mona Lee, picked up Lois and her son Chris, Dickie's children (Joanne, Laurie, Richie and Mike), and Kaye and her children (Ami, Charlie and Billy) for Sunday school and church. Deena's son Alex was part of Margaret's puppet theater team at the church and eventually we hired Kaye and her daughter - Ami, and Lois's daughter Deena to work at the pharmacy on Grand Manan.
Edith used to live in a little house, just down the road, between my house and my store. I passed by it several times every day. I remember how she and Heber used to look after each other.
So, Edith's legacy, in our lives and in the community we know, lives on even as we mark her passing. Rest in peace my friend.

sorry to hear of Edith's passing-knew her my whole life and it was never quiet or dull when she was around-she had a great sense of humor and you never knew what she would say!
