Obituary of Mickey Verner
With broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Mickey Verner. Born February 22, 1963, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Edith (Dickison) Verner.
Mickey attended RiverCross Church and volunteered with RiverCross Mission and in the North End community. He enjoyed playing darts on Friday nights at Mixers.
Mickey is survived by his sisters: Rose Hallett (John), Marilyn Verner (Bobby), Debbie Verner (Ricky), Darlene Verner (Robert), and Kim Verner; fur babies: Bella, Nicole, and Sassy; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends: Larry, Phil, Pastor John Knight, Rita, and Ramona.
He was predeceased by his partner, Garry Baines, and his brother, Kevin.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visitation being held on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 1 pm from RiverCross Church, 61 Forbes Drive, with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the visitation and service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption.
