Campbell, Lillian Eva –
It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Lillian Eva Campbell announce her peaceful passing on March 13, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. Born on March 3, 1930 in Summer Hill, NB, she was a daughter of the late Ida (Kerr) and John Donald.
Lillian was a devoted member of Silver Falls United Church. She loved children and, in her earlier years, she was a teacher in a one room school in Summer Hill as well as working at the former New Brunswick Protestant Orphans’ Home in Saint John. Most of all Lillian loved her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her son, David (Patty) of Saint John; daughters, Shirley Ripley (Dennis) of Saint John and Patricia Northrup (the late Malcolm) of Victoria, BC; grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Emma Northrup; great-grandchildren, Kai and Lahla; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, John; brother, Kenneth Donald and sister, Rowena Osbourne.
The family would like to thank Lillian’s homecare workers, especially Judy Cyr, the KV Extra Mural, Dr. Alana Cook, Social Directors as well as all others who assisted in helping with their mother’s care. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Lillian’s name can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice.. www.BrenansFH.com.
