Obituary of Carol Winson
Ms. Carol Winson passed away peacefully at the Carleton-Kirk Lodge Nursing Home on March 18, 2022. Born in Salford, England on November 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Trevor and Doris Winson. An avid member of the Carleton-Kirk United Church, Carol spent countless hours volunteering as a member of the United Church Women’s Group, assisting in the nursing home lunch program and with the Westside Food Bank. Carol will be sadly missed by her cousins David Alty (Cecile Proctor), John “Billy” Alty (Mallory) and Alexis Brown (Cory) of Saint John and her best friends Paul and Shirley Martin, also of Saint John. She is also survived by her niece Tammy Cyr and nephew Darren Ransome (Andrea) of Alberta, and great nieces Olivia Hall and Natasha Hall of Oromocto, NB.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Trevor and Philip Winson, sisters Ida Berry and Joyce Bakker and cousin John Alty.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
