Obituary of Theresa Helena Morris
It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Helena Morris (Gallagher) announces her passing which occurred on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on November 8, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lucy Gallagher (Dunn).
Theresa is survived by loving children, daughters, Cathy Cheeseman (Silas), Mary “Tresa” Spence (Dale), Jo-Anne Groundwater (Darren); son, Michael Morris (Melissa Paradis), special son, Robert “Bobby” Morris (Kelly); grandchildren, Tanner Cheeseman (Angela Mott), Dale Spence Jr (MacKenzie), Braydon Myshrall (Kaitlyn James), Kenady Myshrall, Reid Groundwater; as well as her cat, Boo. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Michael Morris.
Theresa spent her childhood summers in Chapel Grove (Kingston, NB), and in Sussex with the Hynes Family. She was a member of St. Peters Church and the St. Peters CWL. Theresa was kindhearted and she cherished her grandchildren. Her home was a home for all the children in the neighbourhood, her door was always open for everyone. She was well known for her knitting, which she would frequently donate to the less fortunate.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Theresa’s beloved Dr. Luan Le and to the nurses and staff at the Loch Lomond Villa.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). With visitation on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Spirit Parish, St Rose Worship Site (541 Milford Road) on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery after the service. A reception will be held in the Brenan’s Reception Room following the interment. Donations in memory of Theresa may be made to The SPCA of Saint John or Romero House. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
