Dear Shirley, sons, your princesses and your wonderful grandchildren - thinking of you today as you say your last good-bye. The shock of Bill's passing remains but he lives on in these wonderful shared memories. We grieve with you. It truly is all about what you do for others and the mark you leave for the short time given in this world. Hope you can lean on the love of family, friends and all whom Bill touched and that you will come to know even more about Bill's legacy as time passes. Strength and love being sent your way.
Jane (Mary Jane's Jane MacDonald) Van Horne and my family

Dear Shirley and family,
We would like to pass on our condolences to you on Bill's untimely death - the world will be poorer without him. He simply was an outstanding citizen and true entrepreneur with a big heart for the less fortunate. He will be missed by many including all of us at the Riva Ridge neighbourhood. We hope you all have the strength to get through this very difficult time.

Dear Shirley
My most sincere condolences to you and your family.
Bill was a close friend for many years. We met through Scouting and shared a number of interests. Bill was the one who got me interested in motorcycling and we enjoyed a number of memorable trips together over the years. I treasure the times we spent together working on bikes, cars and model aircraft - or just hanging out and chatting over coffee at the warehouse.
Bill was generous, kind, and compassionate and possessed a great sense of humour. He would do anything for anyone.
I shall miss him...

Dear Shirley, Bill was the most wonderful, wonderful person. Know that my thoughts and prayers are for you and your family during this very difficult time. I know he is watching down and not wanting us to grieve for him. I know he is in a better place. I hope that soon your sorrow will be replaced with only the fond memories you have of this amazing man. "What though the radiance which was once so bright, be now forever taken from our sight. Though nothing can bring back the Hour of Splendour in the grass, the Glory of the Flower, we will grieve not, but rather find strength in what remains behind." Much love Shirley, Rocco

I am so very sorry for your loss Bill was such a good person, giving of himself to others, always picking people up and being a very positive person... he will be missed by all of us..
I grew up with Bill and although we drifted apart when he moved and I moved I felt a deep love for him and wish we had spent more time together. I pray that he is now at peace and will watch over his family.
The world needs more people like Bill.

Dear Shirley,
I was quite startled to read about Bill this evening . Mom and I are so very sorry for your loss. This looks like it all happened so suddenly. Again, so very sorry . . . The memory I am sharing is while I, Pierre (my boyfriend at the time), Mom and her Bill were all invited to your wedding. I instead (having had gall bladder surgery earlier that week) was in The Montreal General Hospital re-cuperating. After attending your wedding, Mom and her Bill came directly from your wedding to my hospital room, beautifully dressed. Excitedly they told me all about your wonderful event and about the great time they had had. I was so sorry to have missed it all. I believe that was the summer of 1976. Love and prayers to all of you . . . Margaret and Mary Zipay.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing.
I worked with him and the Gourley boys for a number of years and count that time as memorable for many reasons not the keast of which were the annual Christmas gift exchanges at the old GAP warehouse/ office.
Bull always made time for me and we had lots of great meals together.
Bill was a GREAT GUY and he'll be sorelly missed.
RIP old friend and stay strong, Shirley, Bruce, Mark and Craig.
