With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Michael George Lignos, beloved husband of Joan (Laird) Lignos, at his residence in the Turnbull Home on Friday, April 29, 2022. Born October 16, 1953, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Elefterious and Marie (Nairn) Lignos.
In addition to his wife, Joan, of 50 years, Mike is survived by his daughter, Tina Thibodeau (Rob); grandson, Andrew Thibodeau; sister, Renna Morris (Billy); brother, Kelty; brother in law David Laird (Wendy) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mike also leaves behind his life-long friend, John Mailman (Dianne), and his faithful companion, Brandy.
Besides his parents, Mike was predeceased by his sister, Matrona “Toni”; and brothers: Leo (Jeanette), Nick (Carol), and George (Darlene).
The family will be forever grateful to their Turnbull Home family for the compassion, care, and friendship shown to them throughout the years. Your kindnesses will never be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Graveside prayers will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11 am.
