Dear Myrtle, Roxane, Shelley and family members. What wonderful memories I have of working with Joe, first in our offices in Fredericton, and then throughout our careers at PLGS. Proud to say we were both part of the original group to be hired. We were a smaller group in Fredericton, and we felt more like a family during those times. Joe was a straight shooter, and he treated everyone the same at work. He left a lasting impression on so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. RIP Joe. You won’t be forgotten.

Myrtle, Roxane and Shelley, I was so sad to hear about Joe. I'll always remember him as a big lovable teddy bear with that cheeky grin and dry sense of humour. The weekends spent with him whizzing us kids around on the tube at your camp and the countless days spent building cubbies under your staircase while he tinkered nearby in the garage or yard will always be treasured childhood memories. I wish I could be there to give you a big hug and celebrate his life. Love to you all XX

Myrtle and beloved daughters Roxie and Shelly: Jo and I (Peter) would like to offer our thoughts about your husband and dad at this sad time. We became friends with mom and dad in recent years through mutual friends in their Hampton neighbourhood. We enjoyed both mom and dad’s company on many occasions, at their lovely home, at ours on Darlings Island or at neighbouring homes in their neighbourhood. During numerous discussions, some even a bit heated, Joe would usually reserve comment as others of us shot comments and points of argument to and fro. But when Joe spoke in his calm voice, we’d all listen. He’d always ask a relevant question or pose his view in a gentle way, never wishing to monopolize the discussion. A true gentlemen…….and a wise one at that, we came to appreciate his wisdom and gentle humour. And when it came to our winter rummolli games at each other’s homes, Joe was the undisputed poker hand champ, waiting for other to show their hands and then laying his winning hand nonchalantly on the table. We all loved it……..and him. Ladies, be proud of this wonderful man. Peter and Joanne
