Obituary of Marilyn Joy Griffin
With heavy hearts, the family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marilyn Joy Griffin (Webster) on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 59. Marilyn and her twin sister were born on August 28, 1957 in Midland, NB, on the Guthrie Road. She was a daughter of the late Myles and Mildred Webster. Marilyn graduated from the Old Belleisle Regional High School in 1976. Marilyn is survived by her husband David Griffin, of 30 years; her daughter Yvonne Griffin; two granddaughters Christeena Mullett and Kennedi Crossman; sisters: Doris (Frank) Mercer and her twin sister Marlene (Colby) Mallery; aunt: Mildred Webster; uncle, Murray Webster and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents Marilyn was predeceased by her son Trevor Griffin; brother, William Webster and sister, Barbara Webster. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 12 Noon from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
