Obituary of Beatrice Viola May Snodgrass
The death of Mrs. Beatrice Viola May (Totten-Rantal) Snodgrass of East Saint John, wife of the late Mr. Ernest Snodgrass occurred at her residence on Monday, July 28, 2003. The daughter of the late Ernest LaBaron and Lillian Gladys Totten, the adopted daughter of the late Paul Rantal she was born in Saint John, where she was a resident all her life. Beatrice was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Main Street, where she was later married to Ernest Snodgrass. She was an avid Bingo player. Predeceased by one son, Paul; one sister, Inez; two brothers, Arthur and Murray. She is survived by three sons, Darrold of Binbrook, ON, Mark of Ontario, and Bruce of Saint John; three daughters, Lillian Freestone of Saint John, Eleanor (Hichie) Hutchinson of Keswick, ON, and Sandra Calder of Fredericton, NB; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2003 from Brenan's Chapel at 2:15pm. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
