Obituary of R. Marie Dort

The death of R. Marie Dort of 20 Prince Edward Street (Prince Edward Square Apts.), Saint John, wife of the late Gerald Vincent Dort, occurred on Monday, June 23, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Mary Ann (Clancy) Johnson. She is survived by her children, Daniel of Saint John, Mary Brennan (John) of Saint John, Vivian Soucy (Raymond) of Belleisle and Gerry of Saint John, three sisters, Betty Cronk of Oromocto, Eva Sibley of Sarnia, ON and Helen Ramsey of Saint John, one brother, Edward Johnson (Adeline) of Saint John, five grandchildren, Michelle, Bryan, John, Jeffrey and Joseph, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her cherished friend, Kibosh the dog. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Johnson. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 27, 2003 at 2:00 PM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
