Obituary of Fred L. Goosney
GOOSNEY, FREDRICK LLOYD: The death of Fred L. Goosney husband of Blanch (Goudie) Goosney (forever his doll), occurred on Friday, August 22, 2003 at the Fredericton Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, NB, with family by his side. Born in Coley's Point, NFLD, he was the son of the late Elijah and Lily (Merser) Goosney. Fred loved working with anything electronic, building himself a model powerboat. His motto was “have screwdriver will tinker”. Fred loved his family very much, he was especially proud of his children and their accomplishment, he will be sadly missed. He is survived by one son Ronald (Maryanne) Goosney, Port Colburn, Ont., two daughters Evelyn (Butch) MacNaughton, Fredericton, NB, Florence (Glendon) Tays, Barnesville, NB, Daisy Goosney, Fredericton, NB, one sister Annie Hickie, Hammond River, NB, six stepsons, Fred, Alec, Calvin, Roger, David and Rodney Randell, three stepdaughters Beatrice, Elsie and Alvina. He was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Ronald and two sisters, Hilda and Frances. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, (634-7424) with visiting on Monday August 25, 2003, 7-9 PM. Funeral to be held in Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at 2:30 PM, burial to take place at a later date. Remembrances to the Veterans Health Unit, Wheelchair Van Fund (Fredericton, NB), or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.
