Obituary of Lionel A. Seale
The death of Mr. Lionel A. Seale of Saint John, NB, husband of Mrs. Alice M. (Haines) Seale occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital while surrounded by his family. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Joseph and Alice Maud (Dowridge) Seale. Mr. Seale worked as an Instrument Mechanic for more than 25 years with Lantic Sugar in Saint John. He was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and was a lover of all sports. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Mr. Seale leaves to mourn his loving wife of 45 years, Alice, two sons: Arnie of Hamilton, OT and Randy of Saint John, NB, three daughters: Gail Seale, Saint John, Robbi (Imrich Kiraly) Seale, Yarmouth, NS, Renee (Darrell) MacGowan, Saint John, one brother in Ottawa; Donald (Juanita) and four brothers in Saint John: John (Verna), Charles (Linda), Peter (Carol) and George, one sister; Winifred (Hilton) Dixon, Montréal, PQ, two grandchildren: James and Abigail MacGowan, several nieces and nephews and his "four legged grandson", Buddy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Eleanor. Visitation for the public will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At Lionel's request, a private family funeral service will be held from Brenans Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Thompson officiating. Honourary Pallbearers will be: Ransford Haines, Lee Seale, Imrich Kiraly, Darrell MacGowan Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors' choice. www.brenansfh.com
