Obituary of Harry James Tippett
After a long history of medical complications, Harry James “Jim” Tippett passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8th, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 1st, 1950, in Saint John NB, Jim was the son of the late James and Doris (nee Ross) Tippett.
Jim’s three daughters were everything to him. It filled his heart with joy knowing he could share his passion of boats with them. His favorite place to take his children boating is on the Wolastoq River.
The proud owner of Precision Marine Ltd., located in South Bay N.B., Jim was well-known in the Saint John Community. Jimmy was always a thrill seeker who loved airplanes, motorcycles, drag racing, and car shows with his friend Scotty. Jimmy will be missed, and his friends and family will remember him for being hard working, fun-loving, and a free spirit.
Jim is survived by his three daughters Janyce Landry, Heather Stafford (Gareth), and Melissa Tippett; his three grandsons Ethan and Nickolas Stafford, and Jake Landry; two sisters Judy Hare (Wayne), and Lynda Munro (Hugh); niece Krista; two nephews Jamie and David; as well as many friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents James Lowell Tippett and Doris Mae Tippett of Saint John.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In respecting Jim’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service and a private burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Jim’s memory can be made to the War Amps of Canada.
