Obituary of Cathy Lee Gaudette
It is with appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Cathy Lee Gaudette (Harding), announce her passing on July 24, 2022. She left us quietly and peacefully at her home at The Westbury Long Term Care Residence following a long battle with chronic illness. Born May 4, 1957, she was the youngest daughter of the late Muriel Harding (Kennie) and Ron Harding (Eleanor).
After graduating from Brigham Young University, Cathy went on to become an administrative assistant at Ipex in Saint John. She excelled and worked her way up to Executive Assistant for Hamilton Kent Inc in Toronto. For many years she supported Karate New Brunswick as secretary as she very much enjoyed the sport. From a young age Cathy was known for being a talented vocalist. She participated in many local competitions, but her passion was sharing her strong Soprano voice at the LDS church on Sunday, singing in choirs and singing for family, and friends. Cathy had other passions, one of which was sewing. While attending Saint John High School Cathy assisted in making costumes for the theater performances and later made clothing for her daughter, Tiffany, and other family members. Cathy had a strong passion for cooking and baking. She made many beautiful cakes over the years for various events. She enjoyed sharing her talent and baking with everyone but was famous for her shortbread cookies and blueberry pies.
Cathy is survived by her daughter Tiffany Gaudette, several cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents, Cathy was predeceased by her sister Judy Olsen (Harding) and nephew Darryl Olsen.
