Obituary of Lois Carol Higgins
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Lois Higgins on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on December 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Farrell) Laskey. The love of her life, Gordon Higgins; niece, Margaret and brother, Bobby had predeceased her.
She is survived by her seven children devoted children; Lynda (Doug), Pam, Judy (Mike), Rob, Nancy (Brian), Donna (Larry) and Debra (Preston); nine caring grandchildren, Emily, Kristina (Malcolm), Chad, Alycia, Selena (Mike), Cory, Michael (Kale), Kyle and John; her 15 entertaining great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Aselyn, Leland, Tyson, Dakota, Gabe, Devin, Owen, Shyanne, Elijah, Jace, Lataya, Graison, Ember and Xylia.
Lois treated everyone she met as one of her family, she had a big heart. She enjoyed her Showcase T.V shows and treasured her family time – she loved everyone’s visits. She was very grateful for her son and his dedicated time looking after her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Due to the family’s and Lois’s requests, there will be no funeral service.
