Obituary of Paul John Danahy
It is with great sadness that the family of Paul John Danahy, loving husband to the late Linda Danahy, announce his passing on Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 5, 1947 in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Florence (Boudreau) and Howard Danahy.
Paul retired from the Saint John Regional Hospital after a loyal career of 41 years. He was huge sports fan and played baseball in his younger years for various teams in Saint John. Paul and Linda enjoyed travelling to many different locations during their years together. Most of all Paul loved his family. He will be missed by his many friends and family.
Paul is survived by his children, Lorri Childs (Billy) of Saint John, Christopher Danahy (Erin) of Rothesay, Michael Danahy (Jody) and Valerie Kaye (Dan) both of Saint John; sister-in-law, Mary Lee of Meehans Cove and brother-in-law, Peter of Quispamsis; grandchildren, Ashley, Callan, Shea and Gabriel and great-grandchildren, Willow and Rowen.
In addition to his wife and his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother, Frank and his sister, Paulette.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A graveside service will be held in St. Stephen at a later date.
