Obituary of Kathleen Cecile Keating
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Keating (nee Gould) of Mississauga, Ontario, formerly of Saint John, New Brunswick, on Friday, November 11th, 2022, at the age of 100. Daughter of the late Howard and Gladys Gould (nee Hurley).
Kay raised her family in Saint John, as well as Silver Falls (across the covered bridge leading to Champlain Heights); later residing with family who served as the Second Station Master in Quispamsis. For more than thirty years Kathleen resided with her daughter Patricia Sistili (Randy) in Mississauga. Kay is also survived by her sons Lawrence Keating (Marilyn), Wayne Keating; her daughters Mary London (Roy), Linda Whittaker, and daughter-in-law Brenda Keating. She will be forever remembered by her 11 grandchildren, and many extended family members.
Besides her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her son Harold Keating.
Kay worked in the dietary departments of both the TB Hospital and DVA Hospital.
Visitation will be held a Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Friday, November 18th, 2022, from 3pm to 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 135 Simpson Drive, Saint John, on Saturday Morning at 10am. Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
