Obituary of Natalie Harthorn Noseworthy
Natalie Harthorn (Jones) Noseworthy was called to her Heavenly Home by her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 6, 2023, after a long, healthy and spiritual life. For years, she looked forward with joy to when she would be with her Lord and reunited with her beloved husband, sister, and daughter who predeceased her. She summarized the focus of her life in the simple phrase – “my faith, my family and friends, and all the wonders of God‘s creation.” She thanked God each day for His love, for her family, and for her sense of humor. She said that “God knows well what I have done and failed to do in my life.”
She was born to Sidney and Blanche (Bunnie) Jones on August 3, 1924, in Saint John, New Brunswick. In 1948 she married The Reverend Donald W Noseworthy and they enjoyed more than 52 years of a loving marriage. She was a tireless supporter of his ministry to Anglican (Episcopal) parishes in Quebec, Massachusetts, as well as St. Paul’s (Valley) Church in Saint John and Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
She was predeceased in death by her loving parents, her only sister Nancy Morrison (Jones) Wheatland, her beloved husband and her precious daughter Jane Harthorn Lind.
She is survived by cherished family including her son John (Pat), her precious grandchildren, Peter (Katie), Mark (Britt), Jamie (Lana) Whittaker, Heather Whittaker (Joe Taylor) and Kristin (Jeff) King and her precious great grandchildren Jack, Charlotte, Isabelle and Lou Noseworthy, Jacob, Maria and Rachel Whittaker and Isaiah King.
Her family gives thanks for the wonderful care, compassion and kindness of Brenda Lavigne, the Jones Girls caregivers and staff of the Chateau de Champlain.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation and a reception is planned for Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 12:30 PM from Trinity Anglican Church, 115 Charlotte Street, Saint John, with a memorial service to follow at 2 PM. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by visiting Natalie's obituary on the Brenan's website. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Romero House, the Saint John Animal Rescue League, Trinity Church (Saint John), The Anglican Parish of the Nerepis & St. John and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
